The 8 GW Fuel Cell and Electrolyzer Factory

Many believe that fuel cells and electrolyzers are necessarily very complicated and expensive, and the road to production long and rocky. Now, however, there is a production system that can generate about 8 GW of stack power per year. The system is very compact and surprisingly cost-effective. In this webinar it will be presented publicly for the first time.

In the course of the energy transition, one of the questions is how to use hydrogen efficiently. Currently, electrolysis and fuel cells are very expensive and therefore not competitive. But experts agree that this will change as soon as the industry moves from manual assembly to fully automated industrial production. And that is imminent.

To be sure, there are many experts who claim that a lot of research and a lot of subsidies are still needed to make this happen. But the VAF, for example, has tried to find a solution to this problem. They simply didn't know it was nearly impossible, so they developed - without grant money - a compact plant that can fully automatically build and test up to 8GW of fuel cells or similar amounts of electrolysis stack power per year. The VAF plant costs - calculated on a beer mat - well under 10 euros per fuel cell stack, fits easily into a normal assembly hall and can be designed and built in detail in 1.5 years, according to VAF.

VAF and their partner Omron will present this system to you in another webinar as part of a world premiere on 04.05.2022. On 29.05.2022, the system will then be presented to the rest of the world public for the first time at the Hannover Messe. You can therefore see and experience it live there.

Here you can register for the cost-free webinar.
