Wind farm to be completed in 2017 / John Laing group commissioned WKN as EPC contractor
WKN AG, a leading developer of wind energy farms based in Husum, Germany, sold the French wind project Sommette-Eaucourt to John Laing Group plc (“John Laing”) at the beginning of September. WKN AG is part of the PNE WIND Group. The wind farm will be built in Picardie, Northern France. Construction is expected to be completed at the end of 2017. Total installed capacity for the Sommette wind farm will be 21.6 megawatts. The wind farm will consist of 9 Nordex N117 turbines each with a capacity of 2.4 megawatts. WKN will be responsible for the construction of the project, and will also be commissioned as EPC contractor by John Laing.
